The war is over, at least that's what everyone tells me. They also say
things like "good job", "we couldn't have done it without you", "you
made a good universe this time". I wonder what they mean by this time.
Well, I think it has something to do with that awful doctor. See, he was
doing nothing but hurting the kids. I don't know if he really realized
it, though. I really struggled to understand why he would do those
things he did. He said it was for a better world, but is a world where
you can't make any choices better? And is what you really wanted what he
was really making?
The stew is simmering on the stovetop. The vegetables have softened to a
nice chew. The sun is warm on my nose and the boys are out back,
laughing about something or other. If only that doctor could see that
this is the ideal ending.
